Announcements01/14/2026: If a continuing open enrolled student moves to a different resident district after the 3rd Friday Count date (9/19/25), the student's resident district will not change until the next school year. The nonresident district can make the change now in OPAL by entering the new resident district in the Resident District Next Year section under the Change Enrollment tab. By completing this data change now, the student's resident district will be automatically updated when the OPAL rollover occurs in July. The nonresident district can also update the student's address under the Change Parents/Addr tab.
07/01/2025: If a student withdraws on or before the 3rd Friday Count date (September 19, 2025) or is a student who was never open enrolled into your district during the 2025-26 school year, you need to go to the All Students tab, click on the student's name, then click on the Change Enrollment tab and mark the student as "not open enrolled". Do not try and withdraw the student for 0 days or 1 day or ask DPI to withdraw the student - you cannot withdraw a student who was never open enrolled during the 2025-26 school year.
